So You Think You Wanna Graduate……

All is coming to a head, so to speak, and most of you will soon graduate.  What needs to be done in order to move on to the halls of higher learning?  What have you learned here that will serve you well in the years to come?  Are you any kind of judge of what you will need?  The answers to this and so much more in Room 081

On the Road to May 14th

It’s always better to have too much than never enough.  That was certainly true of our “Kickoff Breakfast” this morning and will also be true of your study habits for the rest of the year.  Be confident, careful and endure.  You are now so close that more aberrant behaviours will ‘bubble up” to distract you.  Maintain.  Put your blinders on.  Wear empty paper towel tubes taped to your eyes and put your eyes on the prize.  In the words of my teenage cohort – “Let’s do it to it!”

Post AP……Experiments and Projects

The expectation is that you will blog once per week for a quiz grade. Look on SchoolFront as it will be updated regularly (No…. really!) once per week. The following are the criteria for your Marking Period Six grades:

  • Blog posts will be quiz grades.
  • “Check-points” will be counted as quiz grades. They will be pass/fail.
  • Your experiment/project will be the majority of your grade for this marking period. It will count for sixty percent (60%)
  • If you have chosen an experiment, you will be required to write a scientific paper outlining what you have done.
  • If you have not chosen an experiment, you willbe required to make a presentation during the last week of school.
  • All students will be taking the Living Environment exa. your higher score (if you have taken it previously) will be the one reported in your transcript.

Blogging should commence immediately.

Body Systems! Whoah!

We’re finally here! This is what most of you have been longing for all year. We are gonna cut open animals, test our own endurance, and see if caffeine Reeeealy changes the way your body reacts. All blog posts should be here until we hit review. Do it to it.

Cells

I love seeing more than one person posting for the day! :) Remember, though, we are blogging alphabetically. The person responsible for that day must post. All the other posts do make me happy and help you synthesize and internalize the copious amounts of info we must assimilate.
