- Meet with leadership team once a semester as a group to celebrate accomplishments and brainstorm vexations, offering advice regarding approaches and resources
- Meet as individuals as needed
- Respond in writing twice a year to program implementation and research reports
Near-Peer Facilitators - Aleja Perez, Alexis Goolsby, Jasmin Ganti
- Consistently attend and be fully present for all STARS meetings
- Document participation with and impact on girls
- Read and discuss “Girls in Science” and in other ways develop as teachers/facilitators
- Meet with filmmakers to plan in December
- Facilitate teams in filmmaking in the spring
STARS External Evaluators – Joan Pasley, Maria Fitzgerald
- From Horizons Research, Inc. will be helping us understand the impact of our STARS work in ways that inform future efforts! !
STARS Scientist-Advisor – Molly Gildea, Ruth Lawrence, Sarah Kinghan
- Advise teams of girls on investigation products and offer written feedback
- Critique teams of girls using same protocol; offer oral and written feedback including comments
Community Advisors and Supporters – Liz Tinelli, Joyce Duckles
- Liz has a long and amazing history with managing STARS
- Joyce is an expert on the roles of families in youth’s science learning
Conference Planner and Organizer – Chris Hartman
- Work with Leadership team to structure an annual STARS wrap-around conference for the community
