Physics War

Weatherization Tomorrow

If anyone was confused ~ we’ll meet tomorrow at 10am *at the school* and carpool to the house from there.

Or… I suppose if you’re reading this…

It’s on North Street (just off Main St. past MSMS), it’s the 4th house on the right across from Cross Street. Hopefully I’ll see you there!

September 29

in todays episode of experimental physics, we discussed the concepts of positive and negative acceleration.  We ran around in a parking lot with a bunch of little red gadgets attached by a string to rectangular pieces of cardboard with which we measured the acceleration of students.  there was no homework.

What we did in class today.

So today we did the awesome rocket launching, which went off without a hitch. Evey one watched and participated. It was a good day, plus no homework. So get ready to modify and launch more rockets tomorrow.

what happened in class on 9-22-08

Ok so what we did in class today, was we learned about velocity graphs, and how to make data graphs into velocity graphs. We also got in groups to make sure we all knew how to make them. It was a pretty chill class today, but thats about it.

Class for 9/18

In class today we started using our d=v*t equation to use.  We did some practice problems that involved this equation and we turned them in.  Then we constructed paper helicopters that we are going to drop of the stairwells and use our equation with that.

The homework was to respond to someones post about oil by next wednesday.

Class 9-18-08

Today we got to class and we sat around for a little while.  Then we started to talk about some of the different equations that we used to find certain time or distance or what ever your looking for.  Then we went completely off topic and talked about how to survive in a world with out and gas, or what we would do if we went into a time where only the super rich could live in houses and we just lived in the woods.  Then we proceeded to make helicopters out of paper and paper clips.  We then timed them in how long it took for them to get to the bottom of the main stair well.

How would your life be different if oil were significantly more expensive?

Ok, so deleting a whole thing that was previously typed sucks! Long story short is that our recreational use of vehicles would be reduced significantly, and traveling would be much more expensive. Food would be over priced and plastic goods would rise in price.

How would your life be different if oil were signifantly more expensive? My answer…

There would be less driving, more commuting, and a lot more walking. It may even be hard to have a job for my parents because of the mileage. We probably wouldn’t do much on the weekends, but there  would be more family time.

Life with a higher price of gas.

If the gas prices were alot higher i woulnt be able to do alot of things like snowmobiling and four wheeling and stuff. We wouldnt be able to go on vacations far away or go to our camp as much, our camp is 80 miles away.
