Hey guys,
I just got an email from T.Sabo about the newly re-organized Food and Nutrition Council. And I feel it might make sense to have an OPR presence there. Or, potentially we leave them out of it and do the mason jar thing whether or not they’re into it.
Cheers,
Anne
There have been a variety of efforts regarding food, nutrition, and sustainability within the various schools (and district-wide) over the last several years. One such effort was the MHS Food and Nutrition Council. After speaking with Steve Metcalf about getting this group up and running once again, it was decided to make it district-wide.
Please consider this email an invitation to join the MPS Food and Nutrition Council on Tues. 10/28 at 3:00 PM (Room 208, MHS). Recognizing that a group’s mission can evolve, our starting point will be:
“The MPS Food and Nutrition Council strives to increase the social, ecological and nutritional quality of food consumed by the MPS community by making the food service system an integral part of the educational experience.”
If you have any questions, or would like to attend but cannot, please contact me.
